The Cubs struck first, scoring in the second inning. However, the Dodgers rallied in the fifth, capitalizing on a Cubs error and a timely single from Shohei Ohtani to take the lead. Ohtani, playing as the designated hitter, had a strong game, contributing two hits and scoring twice.
